Students who are studying in class 5, 8 and 10 can apply for subsequent class.
Entrance test is conducted nationwide in each district by C.B.S.E. in the month of February every year. The application forms are distributed to the schools that have up to class V through B.E.O's of taluk concerned, free of cost generally in Aug/Sep.
Medium of Entrance test: Kannada, English, Hindi and Marathi.
Pattern of question paper:Objective type.
Reservation of 75% for rural areas with a reservation of minimum 25% and a maximum of 50% for SC & ST students in proportion to the SC & ST population in the district. One third or 33% of the total seats are reserved for girls. 3% reservation for disabled deserving children is also provided.
Lateral entry for class IX will be conducted if the strength is less than 80 in class IX for that respective academic year.
The entrance papers will be corrected by C.B.S.E. and the students are selected based on their merits.
Total 80 students are selected for class VI.
First list of 80 students will be displayed on the Vidyalaya notice board and simultaneously intimated to the respective student on his residence address in the month of May.
Second list of students will be announced in the month of June.
If the admitted seats are less than 80, than the third list will be announced at the end of the June.
